    Default Processor compatibility

I am having a solid time figure out what processors are friendly with my system. I have been annoying to find the compatibility through my mother board but have been having a truly hard time with it. I presently have an AMD Phenom 9550 and would like to promote to something better, although I think I'm going to be quite limited due to my computers DDR 2 RAM. What are my alternatives for an enhanced processor/how do I leave about finding out? I have tried googling Pegatron and Pegatron Violet 3.02 but I haven't gotten any luck.

    System specifications:

    2.20 gigahertz AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core

    512 kilobyte primary memory cache

    2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

    2048 kilobyte tertiary memory cache

    64-bit ready

    Multi-core (4 total)

    Not hyper-threaded.

Wow....never listened to of Pegatron previous to but after googling it, it emerges it’s an offshoot of Asus. odds are your possibly not going to discover a cpu support list for it but it might be able to run a Phenom II X4 940 since its socket AM2+ (same as your 9550). But it might need bios update, which I distrust you'd be able to track down with such a generic board.

Yeah after several googleing Pegatron appears to be a branch of Asus devoted to motherboards... and I've been having a very solid time figuring out what I could perhaps promote to. If it assists the computer is an HP that I bought a novel case a 260GTX and a novel power supply. But as far as a possible improve list I can't find anything anywhere.

It appears like AMD puts out a novel processor or new amendment almost everyday. Chances are that you won't be capable of promote that Processor unless there's a new BIOS inform to support the newer processors. Phenom 9950 is perhaps your best gamble of compatibility, but that's only a 400 MHz gain, which is completely not worth it.

Oh yeah, overlooked that fraction. No 140W CPUs.Never purchase a 140W CPU from AMD. Only a handful of motherboards support them.

I wouldn’t leave as much as to say never purchase a 140w cpu from AMD, rather some motherboards, yet in the lower end, support 140w cpu’s (for example the MA770T-UD3P).

I acquired the similar motherboard. I have an AMD Athlon II x4 620 and it is not on the list also. I purchased my PC with that processor in it, so I don't believe the list on the HP website is select.
