This is how you can discover your IP address if required for tech support or other reasons. Many companies now days are doing remote repairs for everything from easy printing to progress stuff similar to computer repair and similar to me network scanning. Yes we can put this up remotely so don't allow anyone tell you they can’t. This does need some help from the end consumer but we can walk you through that.

Instructions:

Offline: Click start, then click run, Type in cmd then enter. You will perceive the command prompt screen. On this screen kind in "ipconfig" then enter. You will perceive the ip address.

Web based: open your web browser. Type in "ipchicken" the site will open with your ip address in the window.

The offline step will also provide you with Mac address and gateway. This is info required for networking. As stated this info is key for remote service.
