Hi everyone, I have question about my CPU if anybody knows solution on it then please reply me. My present system is an xps720. The CPU is a Q6600, yet the issue I'm having is the CPU runs continually at 100%, resulting in noise yet while unused. Any kind of help is appreciated.

I write here my opinion or suggestion what I know about it. There should be a setting in the BIOS to modify that setting. Was it all time similar to that? If you're completely certain that it's the CPU fan and then verifies your BIOS settings.

Thanks for replying me. Speedfan give me information about my CPU at these temperatures:

    Core 0: 26C
    Core 1: 26C
    Core 2: 21C
    Core 3: 22C

Are there any lessons to check the HSF?

Where is the enthusiast plugged in? If it is on the CPU subtitle of the MoBo there should be gone to control via BIOS.....If plugged in to PWR, CHA or OPT fan headers or linked to Molex it will probable run full speed.

With the fan operating at 13/6% in Ntune does suchlike other function you utilized to find the original fan speed yet report 100%?

Was your case beforehand out in the open and currently in a (more) closed surroundings similar to under a desk, up alongside a wall, or even something similar to placing it on a wooden floor can have a collision on the noise evaluated to on a carpet.

Ntunes up to now was the only request that permit me to edit the fan speed while others were protected with automatic fan control showing 100% so I form it was at that speed.

My case utilize to be out in the open on a desk now it is presently on the floor at the side of my new desk.
