Windows XP registry is center of hard drive. It saves data about programs, system devices and information. Generally, viruses that plague PC connect to XP registry to change applications. If you have virus, registry is first place to look. Though, if you are unknown with Windows XP registry, modifying data can be costly to PC.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to "Start Menu". Open "Run".
Step 2
Type "Regedit". Click "OK". Windows XP registry will show.
Step 3
Modify options. "Edit" tab permit to make new strings and values. Choose "New" tab for these options. Double click folder to make, modify or remove data that is there. When click "+" key, it opens folders in that section of PC. Use "Edit" tab to choose "Find" feature.
