    Default AMD Athlon II X4

Hi everyone, I have question about my processor. We all almost certainly recognize the Athlon ii X4 is the best CPU for affordable price. So, my query is how many threads does it have? Does it has 4 Threads and 4 Cores similar to the comparable Intel Core 2 Quad or only has 2 akin to the Athlon 62 x2?

4 physical cores devoid of hyperthreading. a increase would be the Phenom II x4's since they have L3 hoard and everything’s lot smoother if you put in some more cash and obtain those or manage to obtain an Athlon x4 620 then you can attempt and unlock it with an ASUS board to provide you L3 cache. Confirm that if you desire to overclock you look at the series on the processor because CL3 overclocks many smoother on phenoms.

Hi everyone I read your question about processor. It doesn't contain hyper threading, so 4 cores = 4 threads.

As for the best CPU you can attempt your luck at unlocking the PII 955 x2 into a quad core but that's hit or miss.

    By hit I denote h-threading not h-transport.

Hyperthreading is 4 cores + 4 threads. Similar to you and bluescreen said.

Or are you attempting to say the c2q line-up has 4 cores and (+) 4 threads?

OR am I confusion the OP and he actually means merely 4 cores? (Which would be odd allowing for you both stated hyperthreading).

Hyperthreading: 4 cores, 2 threads per core = ability to run 8 threads at once.

CPU can run as least as many threads in parallel as it has cores. It can operate more per core if it employs technology for instance hyperthreading. All AMD processors as of current operate one thread per core. All Intel processors apart from the i7 and P4 with hyperthreading can operate one thread per core. The i7 and precise P4 designs can run 2 threads per core.

Hi everyone, I think I know solution of your question. So I like to give you solution about that I known. You are not remembered that the I3 operates 2 threads/core and so does the I5 6XX series.
