    Default CPU temperature issue

Hi everyone, I have question about my processor. I have a Pentium D 920 Presler core, and with the stock cooler I had 53c idle and 61-63c complete load. I purchased an aftermarket cooler, (Buffalo HPFA-10025) and utilized the thermal compound which appeared with it, and now I’m receiving 50c idle and 60c full load. Any assist?

What is your processor case? Please also colonize your member configuration (in your profile) so that your rig can be seen by others and remark more specially for your system For instance if you do not have a fine airflow on your case the cooler will not do its job.

Also include to state your POC casing, also welcome to this forums. I am using it from last some year!

My case is a HP Media Center m7530n but my cooler fan aim right on the fatigue fan. It’s like 20 cm far. My RAM is Samsung DDR2 ram, 2 sticks of 1GB.

First off all, thanks for your reply. I acquire almost the similar result with stock cooler. But the stock is just Louder since at 60c it goes full speed. My new cooler has a fixed speed so it's not loud.

If your buffalo fan is ready to Push then it may explain why your temperature does not pick up.

Currently your exhaust fan and the buffalo cooler fan are akin to in a tug of war for cool air rather than working together.

You should change the direction of your cooler such that the buffalo fan should be on the other side so that the hot air it is pushing out of the heatsink will be pushed beyond the chassis by the exhaust fan on the left.

yeah contain the red buffalo fan in front of the rams and then you'll observe the air the CPU cooler blows is toward the back of the case i.e. just turn the cooler 180 degrees and you'll c temperatures drop some. Another option would be to have the CPU fan blowing towards the top into the PSU and might I recommend cleaning up all the fans in your case dirt can decrease fan competence and raise temps. Cable management and clutter free wiring will also assist pick up air flow in your case.
