Default LG W2220P and W2420P: Allocate to exhibit interest!

    Hello

    LG announced three monitors EIPS, who’s W2220P (22 ") and W2420P (24"):

    W2220P:

    • Screen Size: ~ 22 "
    • Type of tile: EIPS
    • Resolution: 1920 * 1200px
    • Contrast: 1000:1
    • 5ms G2G
    • 178/178 °

    W2420P:

    • Screen Size: ~ 24 "
    • Type of tile: EIPS
    • Resolution: 1920 * 1200px
    • Contrast: 1000:1
    • 5ms G2G
    • 178/178 °

On paper, LG W2220P has everything to replace the famous Dell 2209WA:

Dalle EIPS last generation, higher resolution (which does not yield to the mode 16 / 9), affordability, etc.
Except that, the marketing of these monitors in Europe has been canceled.

They must invest in production capacity, the IPS has never been sold to the general public.
22-inch model can be damn interesting.
the 1920x1200, it is radical as increased resolution and it allows you to run older games at 1600x1200, it would tempt me more than 1680x1050 (more pain for games 1:1 and prevents just use the browser full screen without providing full full space)
I have plenty of time. Especially since I prefer 120Hz version.

Nobody address abroad? Because I tried, is nothing, nothing to state, nothing in Singapore. The best part is that in state history and Singapore, which runs as noise on the forum that these models are only planned for Europe all smells bad same time proposed such a product at half price concurrence is a curious may.

"If you're not in a hurry, you can buy the LG W2420P in July (IPS standard gamut) - Europe only.
    LG U.S. IS Still Bringing in considering Both the W2420P / W2220P models, and dual HDMI Have Both interfaces, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness for 24 ", 300 cd/m2 brightness for 22 ", 178/178 viewing angles, 1080p.

You did not ask for it then because the 22 "(1680x1050 and not 1920x1200 as announced in the first post) is offered for sale in many shops in Germany and Austria some of which deliver in France!
By cons, not referencing the 24 "yet.
I am interested in these models but I am waiting to see the tests and the other candidate to choose is the NEC EA231WMi (IPS also, but 1920x1080).

Ok, this is a feeling of vagueness or is the brightness of the screen that you do that?
Otherwise color and remanence level what do you think?

It's not blurry. In addition there’s sharpness. It's so light; I am trying to find what suits me. But I get used gradually.

Color and persistence as I have not talked about is that I have nothing to criticize! It's perfect, really and you can trust me I never wanted to leave my crt for these reasons.

Anyway I see the problem of TN with my friends and my brother's screen, and when I'm on my own, I say I'm lucky lol.

I just got this screen, commissioned mainly for photo processing and office automation.

First impressions: very nice, robust appearance, color rendering without comparison with my LG 1750 ... 95% of the screen.
Because there is just something I find strange even if it does not bother me too much.
At the bottom of the screen, the left corner to corner, I have a slight yellow color on a strip of 5mm to 1cm (in fact, when I'm on Windows, it does not exceed the thickness of the bar tasks). This track is invisible on white or gray. The same thing lighter and not exceeding 2 / 3 mm high.

I have the same problem on this screen that I bought and LDLC was delivered last Friday. Either we came across the 2 screens "HS" container, or it's E-IPS technology which means that.

I went on the topic Dell U2209, which uses the same LG panel. I have not really found traces of this problem.
You're going to do what? You have already contacted LG or LDLC?

I hesitate for the moment on what to do. Indeed, if I return the screen and they refer me to another which has the same flaw, however, changing screen altogether and take another brand. I have long hesitated between the Samsung and W2220P F2380M even if they are two different technologies slabs (E-IPS vs PVA).
