Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is an action game that bases its gameplay on one side on solving puzzles and riddles and sequences of the other strictly platforming game. The structure of the title of Bandai-Namco, therefore, traces the stylistic features typical of the platform genre organized in levels, where the progress of the game is tied hand in glove with the solution of the puzzles as proposed.
Since, however, also an action game, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is not ashamed to propose situations based on combat with weapons and spells. What also characterizes the game is without doubt the presence of two witnesses, Tepeu
(our alter-ego) and Majin, a sort of giant trolls from the immense powers asleep: it is the collaboration between the two that the gameplay turns all its mechanical and its peculiarities.
The narrative plot of Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom plunges us into a world of fantasy colors battered by the presence of a dark force that is gradually throwing the population into darkness: Tepeu going to fight this darkness but to do so, having to rely on the help discover the Majin. The giant troll was once the guardian of the kingdom, but the coming of darkness, was asleep and marred all his immense powers. Here, then, that the association between the two characters becomes essential to carry out the mission: help Tepeu Majin has recovered his powers, while the latter will be an important weapon of his brute strength to fight evil entities generated by the dark force.
