Crime does pay. The highly contentious Grand Theft Auto permit moves into 3D in the dark and seedy gangland of Liberty City. You play a crook with link to the Mafia. A man named 8-ball allocates you tasks ranging from bringing an item to killing the leaders of rival gangs. But you don't have to take that way, as Grand Theft Auto III gives you the liberty to go anywhere and cause your own problem. Some of your behavior might consist of jacking people's cars, beating pedestrians, and testing out your huge arsenal of weapons--including attack rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, and flamethrowers on the police.
