Ranger GPS unit for the DS Nintendo DS has been the news that the ISD, and we have reported on a number of new applications for this portable game system in recent years.
I'm not sure if this is the first time we reported on a GPS unit for the DS, but a range of China is the first I've ever seen. It seems that all you have to do is connect to the GBA cartridge slot, and you have a great look like Garmin!
The Ranger has the latest GPS chipset, and uses the Google Maps software. I think the plan is to have to work with other devices, in addition to the DS as a portable computer, PDA or any other Linux or Windows CE device.
