Last month in our group test we had reviewed the Samsung i71 0 smartphone that was based on the Windows Mobile operating system. This time around the latest entrant from Samsung in the smartphones category is the Samsung i450.The i450 is based on the Symbian platform. Unlike the standard Nokia Symbians, the i450 feels a lot different.Though Symbian at heart, the phones interface is refreshing. The phone itselffeels solidly built, weighs only 114g and looks a lot less flimsy than similar phones we've seen in the past.Samsung has positioned this phone as one for audiophiles.
Considering music as the USP of the phone, we tested the same by copying some MP3 songs on the phone. The phone actually delivers good quality sound through the supplied earphones. However we weren't comfortable with the bundled earphones as they did not fit snugly into the ears. But the saving point here is the presence of a 3.5mm input jack through which you can hook up yourfavourite earphones and crank upthevolume. Being a music phone, the i450 features dedicated music controls in the form of a toggle wheel that is revealed once slid down the phone.

The 2Ain colour screen displays good colours and is bright. On the imaging front, the i450 features a dual-camera.A 2-megapixel main camera delivers average image quality and a front VGA camera for video chats. On the connectivity front, the i450 is Bluetooth 2.0 compatible; it does not feature Wi-Fi. All in all, it's a good refreshing Symbian based phone from Samsung. And if you are looking to get your hands on a new music phone, the i450 will not disappoint you.The price of the phone is Rs.13,942 and comes with a one year warranty.
