Environment friendliness is the hot new trend when it comes to electronic devices, and Sony Ericsson is the latest one to gate crash into the eco club with the launeh of its GreenHeart series. And what can be greener than Sony Ericsson Aspen! It's a Windows Mobile device with a resistive touchscreen and a full QWERTY keypad.

The front panel has a 2.4 inch screen, which is definitely not optimal for a touch¬screen. However, the D-pad below suffices for navigation purposes and you may not have to rely too much on the touchscreen, On the left of the D-pad are the calling key and the key for slide view, On the right is the call end and OK key. The QWERTY keypad below the control key cluster is compact. yet the keys are tactile and easy to use. ll1e left of the phone has the USB cum charging port and the right spine has the volume rocker. The back panel has a 3.2-megapixel camera and on its left is the stylus slot. The microSD card port is under the bat¬tery cover, but is hot swappable.



The top panel of the phone has a 3.5 mm jack and the power key. The phone has a number of choices when it comes to the user interface. The first is the default Windows ill with a sliding lock on idle screen and a scrollable homescreen, which comes along with the honeycomb structure of the menu. There are six panels out of which one is the Sony Ericsson X-panel, two SPB panels i.e. professional and lifestyle, one support panel. We also have the Skype and Facebook panels and the Windows panel. You can also set the schedule for auto¬matically changing the panels according to the time of the day and even get more screen panels from the Sony Ericsson website.

The touch response of the phone is good; however, we preferred using the stylus for most part. Another interesting addition is the slide view that gives instant access to functions such as messages, media, etc. The Windows key on the left of the space bar gives access to a task man¬ager on a long press and thereby you have the ability to toggle between tasks or end them.
