Green is Squeaky Clean
Sony Ericsson Cedar is a part of the company's Green Heart series. The phone is conventional looking bar device made from recycled plastics. It also boasts of a number of eco-friendly features and applications that can enable you to contribute your mite in preserving the environment. The device comes in two colour com*binations - Black/Silver and Black/Red. The Red and Silver colours arc waterborne paint. Below the screen, on the front panel, we have the D-pad with media, call*ing and shortcut keys on the Icft and search call end/ power and clear key on the right.

The centre key on the D-Pad gives access to the menu. The up key is the shortcut for S S; left one will get you go to the message editor; the bottom key is for contacts. by default. However. the right key can be customised as per user's need. Below the control key cluster is the alphanumeric keypad with comfortably-sized keys that arc pretty easy to use. Except for the SNS shortcut, all the other short-keys can be customised.



The left panel has the mini USB port and the right one has the volume rocker. The 3.5 mm jack is placed at the top. The back panel stands out in bright red and has a trademark curve that has been seen in previ*ous Sony Ericsson phones, including the Xperia phones.
It also hosts the camera. Tn its entirety. the phone turns out to be rather simple and utilitarian. App Central One of the biggest assets of

the phone is its wide variety of pre-loaded apps. We have some eco-friendly apps such as Eco Matc. which provide tips on daily life. So you can expect a quiz from which we get titbits of info on eco-friendly practices that we should adopt. Another app is called the Green calculator. which allows you to calculate your COe contribution to the environment. Then we have the utility apps such as Checkbook for keeping track of expenses; we also have Accuweather, Neo Reader, which is a camera based browser. 12 Pixels is for easy pixel based draw*ings.
