    Thumbs down SONY ERICSSON T250i

Sony Ericsson's T250i is an entry-level handset with a few handy multimedia features. Picture quality of the VGA camera is impressive .The FM radio offers decent sound quality and allows one to save up to 20 channels .This sleek phone is available in two colours - aluminum black and aluminum silver .An average battery as one complete charge lasts a day

    SPOT THE DIFFERENCE
This new entrant from Sony Ericsson in the entry level segment seems quite similar to the K220i (reviewed in the Nov 15-Dec 14 2007 edition of this magazine). However, this stylish candy bar phone is comparatively slimmer than the K220i, and offers a 65,536¬colours TFT screen with 128x160 pixels as compared to 65,536-colours standard screen with 128x128 pixels.
The T250i has a D-pad with pointed keys but is comfortable to use. It comes preloaded with ten wallpapers and one active wallpaper. The phone comes in black and silver colours.

    FEATURES
The T250i comes with a VGA camera. A dedicated short cut key automatically connects to the camera. There are several options such as take pic, camera pics and slide show (a rare feature in this segment), We were amazed by the picture quality and actually found it to be better than some 2.0-megapixel camera phones. These pictures can be transferred using Infrared or picture message.
Another useful feature added to this device is an FM Radio, with an 'auto save' option for saving channels. We enjoyed changing stations by just pressing the keys on the alphanumerical keypad. A dedicated icon for Internet access over the phone has been added to the menu.

    POWER TALK
On the battery front, a single charge lasted for more than a day. A com¬mon port for charger and headsets is common in this brand but in this model the charging point is on top of the device. Overall, using the device was a pleasant experience.
