Here's something about the W705 that makes it stand out in the medley of slider phones. At first, it seems to be just its sharp and classy veneer. But we dig deeper and unravel some more of its secrets. True to its Walkman genes, the emphasis
is clearly on music, and that's actually what Sony's new boy delivers. Even though there's no 3.5mm jack on the phone, the wired headset includes an adapter so you can opt for your own cans, whenever. A small Walkman key perched on top is for accessing media directly, and also enables shake-control - the much-hyped, but gimmicky feature that lets you skip tracks by shaking the phone.

Another trick is the~feature, so you can match tracks to your mood. Good music aside, the other high points of the phone is the Wi-Fi connectivity something that works in favour of the excellent YouTube client that's present on board. DLNA compliance means you can hook up to compatible devices to stream media. The application bundle is quite generous, and you also get a pedometer app, along with motionŽsensitive games. The accelero is quite responsive, though the snapper has been given a raw deal - so even though its 3.2MP, itiacks autofocus and comes with Just an LED flash. Works reasonably well, though. A stylish, feature-rich music phone for sure, even though a tad pricey.
