The C510 from Sony Ericsson is a Cybershot handset that sits in the middle of the current line-up in terms of specifications. It is a small and light phone, its candybar design is familiar and it looks fairly unprepossessing.
For a small phone it has a good sized screen. Measuring 2.3 inches across diagonal corners, the screen is up to Sony Ericsson's usual high standards, delivering 320 x 240 pixels of high quality visuals.
What isn't so good is the key-pad. Sony Ericsson has disappointed us in the past with its key design and does so again here. The number-pad keys are thin and, while they aren't as pesky to use as some, we weren't able to create SMS messages at our usual top speed.
The remaining keys - Call, End, softmenu buttons and shortcuts - are small and if you have stubby fingers you may find hitting them accurately is a challenge. That said, some people will be perfectly happy with the key design. Try before you buy.
