Thread: Sony Ericsson K800i problem..?

I brought it today from the Orange shop, got home and was thrilled because it seems a really good phone. A friend had sent me texts (only knew this because they told me) and thought it was strange I wasn't receiving them, so I visited a free text messaging site, and sent myself a text, but it was not receiving...I looked on my phone, went to the main menu, 'messaging'>>'write new' and the only options I have come up is;- Picture message- Voice message- EmailNo option for TEXTING! :SI asked a friend with the same phone, and they said they have the text messaging feature come up, so I can't understand why it isn't working for me. ;lAny help or suggestions to this problem?Much appreciated.

are you sure? thats really weird. it should be the one thats automatically highlighted? and you just press enter..you should take it back.

if you only got it today and if its a new contract you may have to wait as it sometimes take up to 48 hours to activate your account fully

I think the only option is to take it back into the Orange store you purchased it from. It shouldn't have anything to do with the activation of the contract.As other people have said it should be in your menu. Check to see if there is a shortcut key on your kepad that allows you to get to create a text message to see if you can do it that way instead.
