Believe it or not, this slider from mid-2009 was the first ever Walkman phone to feature a 3.5mm socket. It's got the familiar dedicated music keys beloved of Walk man users and excellent sound quality, bolstered by Sony's "Clear Stereo" and "Megabass" gubbins. You get a worthy 20 hours of music per charge.
The interface and pokey, 2.8-inch screen give it a dated air but the ability to shake the handset to shuffle tracks, the 8GB of bundled storage and the cracking built-in speaker make the W995 a fine option for those whose phone is also their MP3 player.
