Default The new sony laptop models on the horizon?

    Hello,all

I've been waiting for the Sony Vaio Z is updated with a new and better graphics card, I expected in the summer as other pc makers are doing. Do you think Sony will use the new Sony ATI 4000 series or the series of nvidia? Will you get refreshed by the summer?

I personally do not think that could change the graphics card because it has the best GPU for its size (I know the LG P310 is an impressive GPU is still a lot of components inside .. as a optical drive (which will fourth part of the laptop), so I guess it can handle the heat better)

Yes, it will be a summer refresher. Most likely the changes are only the lower CPU speed bumps.

The only process of change would be something like a Sony P9700 or Sony T9900. In March next year with a new Z Arrandale (32nm dual-core Nehalem) is out.

Arrandale have different versions, but all will have an Intel GPU connected to it, meaning that if the laptop does not work outside the Intel GPU, which will be switching to Nvidia or ATI graphics. 18W TDP is lower (as a substitute for TT), and then to incorporate 25/35w. The TDP is for the processor and GPU combination, not only as the current Core 2 Duo CPU's.

I have never owned a Sony laptop, but my next purchase, either a Z or FW. I like the Z to its portability, but the first wave of more memory (for running virtual machines).

Sony updates the models quite often. This summer, the Z will receive new options for CPU; FW will have new options for CPU and GPU (HD4650).

FW USA was to check on the sites of Sony and German yesterday and have only very few, much less the configuration of these features are currently not available, contact SonyStyle to me obvious that this is an indication of departure. Wait a few weeks, rather sure that there will be improvements.

Samsung 256GB 1.8 "thin solid state drives that appear on your product page. It is possible that Sony can offer a range 2x256GB them, like the option to 2x128GB now offer. It is, of course, being really expensive, but there is pure possibility.

I am thinking about buying the Sony Z, but I wanted to hold until new models come out. But if there's no new GPU inside (G GeForce 105 or 110M, etc.) that might be because the existing model for the processor speed is not important because they are all Penryns.
