Is that expected from Sony Vaio laptops, or an individual, it is my fault? Once again, I'm not doing anything power-intensive and is giving me this fan intermittent buzz that I am sure that my drive nuts (already is!). Otherwise it is very quiet.

If the noise is really that bad back is probably your best option. Although it is difficult to judge just by reading your mail.

You say that the laptop has an annoying sound coming from the left "when the battery is in use" then surely must mean that when the laptop is on? Or are you referring to the option of long-lasting battery that I assume are available on the market?

That’s not what I mean at all. Sound only starts when the battery is only used once I plug the power cord the annoying sound will disappear.

Yes, I selected "silent mode" in the thermal control of power management and has absolutely no effect on the fans. Comments from the U.S. best buy site for this particular laptop does not mention any problem with the fans coming out and intermittent ... I wonder if it's only for Canadians so versions of the VGN-CS110E, or I've been very unlucky.
