Hello friends,
planning to buy the main drive for my late MacBook which should get a huge difference to the present 5400rpm 80GB drive. I am hesitate to buy it as i have heard issues regarding Seagate like noise, vibration and freezing.
Thanks!

No problem going for a 7200 rpm Western Digital 500GB HDD instead. Got more bad reviews than positive on the Seagate so will delay until someone else releases a hybrid.
Given the choice at present, it's smart to pick an SSD for an OS install and a regular SATA disk for storage. Most of us have never had it better, but hybrid disks certainly have potential in the near future
Not like majority laptops there is simply one drive bay available. I correspond with the silverfox, there's not sufficient user reports or track record ATM to carry me.
