What that test doesn't view is how much RAM Vista and W7 occupy. It makes it appear like there's real small unlike among apply 4GB and 8GB. I have an X58 rig with 6GB RAM and have Superfetch off but boot fetch enabled. At any given time I'll have 4-5GB present RAM with Aero operating. I non have to bother rebooting to clean RAM earlier introduing a game anymore. I like 6GB vs 4, but 8 is a bit overkill.
It has a lot to do with what game you're playing. Most games may do OK on 2GB, but I'd non construct a modern day gaming rig with that spec later on viewing how poorly optimized few of the new games are memory wise. As for 4GB, that will get you by if you turn fetching off or reboot earlier playing, but I'd rather not have to fiddle with rebooting and I like to be future ready.
Not true, still with the editor. I've apply Sandbox 2 extensively and it non apply that much. It IS better to have at least 4GB of present RAM for few games though, and you can't get that no issue what you do if you only have 4GB system RAM.
