Thread: Inverter Replacement LED screen

I have a HP DV7 2260 laptop boughtlate 2009 (out of warranty) and I have not long since a displayproblem. Everything is negative, as a picture! I see correctly whatis written under Windows, it's just that there is more color.


I thought of an inverter problem soI ordered and received the part. Once removed the screen I justrealized, there was no inverter!

My screen is an LED screen andnot a conventional LCD, so my question is whether an LED display hasa good inverter. I have the impression that it is a Neon? or so I allwrong? I have seen articles on the net talking about backlightissues, do the same thing?


In short, is it that someone couldinform me a little about the technology in question as I wade alittle? Thank you in advance!

I suspect my young son 2 years of closing the screen too violently several times so that's why I thought of a grilled component (such as neon).

On the net I only found cases of people with death and the inverter display very dark, which is not my case.

Yes indeed it misled me because I found a lot of videos with the inverter but for me it's the CCFL and LED (as I understand there are two tech: the LCD -CCFL - with inverter so - and the LCD-LED without inverter). The DV7 have any techno. That's what's annoying with the many models of a brand, you get lost! DV7 the official guide does not even mention the LED screens!

For reference I have several numbers of slabs with bar codes, so take that?

It's true it's a rotten model?

I have no access to the link for the explanation (I live in Canada and blocks access ebay). But my lap is a priori well to the right when looking at the back of the slab, right?
