    Default Aspire 7738g-744g32mn, possible purchase

    Hello,
Anyone have the info onthis laptop? I must make up my mind soon if I want to buy it. I amseduced by its DDR3 memory (1066M) and cpy in P. (Less heat) and the1066M FSB.

As this is my first purchasewith respect laptop, I wonder what gives the resolution of 1600x900,not too small characters?

More so is the memory of 1024Mgraphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M 1024 MB).

Thankyou in advance for your advice.

DDR3 does not change almost nothing compared to the DDR2 if not an increase in its frequency but there is DDR2 that runs at the same frequency and is much cheaper.

In addition, it is essential to avoid buying an Acer. This is a brand that is specialized for its factories out of bits of plastic and not ordis. It will never work and Acer will make you turn a fool when you want to send it for service.

Tantpis, this PC bought Saturday at FNAC. Level performance, my wife is completely satisfied, to run the sims3 all options thoroughly, carefree, and I am surprised by the silence of ventilos, we hear them of course but it's still totally reasonable. Nothing to do with my HDX.

At finish, quality materials, all at first rallied and is pleasant to the eye. But looking more ready, we see that it's been a little plastic, but good in buying this kind of product we know what to expect in terms of finishing.

Overall a laptop at that price, and with this way, it remains a good deal. It remains to monitor its behavior over the years.

If you knew how ACER manufactures for brands such as Dell, Packard, and so on .. ACER is almost the No. 1 global handset manufacturers.

But I have a VAIO buy ACER I am not afraid. So Naboo, no unnecessary anxiety! The 7738G is a machine with an excellent value for money.

I find it a little too easy to spit on acer like that! is its capability not melt in the high end but still it remains a proper hardware (very) good price!

FYI I have a acer 3610 hacked to death! his only problem was the broken hinge and the Intel GMA 915. For the rest it was perfect! not too big not too small overclock by pin mode of the Intel Celeron 1.5Ghz has 2.1Ghz 160 GB drive and 2GB of ram. And it never had much maintenance worries!

I too have had an acer, I not redeem a second. On one I had the graphics card to toast the end of 6 months (though it was an ATI X1100 chipset) and then it took two months to get my pc running. Now it's my brother who uses it, well now it starts when he feels like it (there is certainly a need to contact the hard disk, because by pressing lightly on the hull to the right place it starts), I have had the opportunity to see the same model that had the exact same symptoms.

After I have a second brother has one too, it works well (apart from the touch is pade HS) but it was never moved from his office, transported there.

    i5 / i7: what's the difference?
    4GB / 6GB RAM: Same?
In fact I'd like to know if the performance of the Asus G53 are much higher than my current laptop that is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW21E from 2009 that has the following characteristics:
    - Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz
    - RAM: 4 GB
    - Hard Drive: 250GB
    - Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470
    - LCD 16.4 "(1600x900 resolution)
    - Wifi / Bluetooth Integrated
    - Reader / Writer CD-DVD-Blu-ray
    - Windows Vista SP2
    - 3 USB ports
