I would favor a Dell. The Dell XPS 15 with i3 2nd generation processor is nice deal. Personally speaking Dell is a more popular brand than Toshiba and so more trusted.
Dell XPS 15 had superior graphics than Toshiba Satellite C655-S5128 as well as another models, but Toshiba is low-priced as compared to Dell. Go for Dell like I personally employ Dell and have no problem with it.

if you are actually serious about photo or video editing, and without seeing go for dell xps 15 WITH 1080p B+RG LED screen. Cost's just 6-7 k more as compared to the quality 720p WLED screen but thats what adjusts apart the professionals from the everyday common individuals.
I own a dell XPS 15 i3,with 1GB devoted nvidia graphics card.the onboard JBL speakers are considered the benchmark presently,it's also got a sub woofer. But just downside is battery life,be ready to recharge each 2 hours, but that's what you are anticipated to pay in substitute for the awesomeness.

I am against spending even much money on laptops for the simple reason that you won't use it for more than 2 and a half to 3 years at the most because what ever best of the best you purchase presently will go out of style and will have a hard time to keep up with applications of near future. I have learnt this the expensive way and would never make such a mistake ever again.
In my opinion people or shall we say I used to get very excited while purchasing a novel laptop and usually ended up purchasing the costliest thing on the market just to find out that its obsolete after 2 years or a;sp less in some situations.. For instance I bought a laptop with 1.5GB RAM when people were using desktop computers with 128 MB RAM and guess what.. a year later markets were flooded with laptops with 1-2 GB RAM and far better processors and desktops came with 2-3 GB RAM and mylaptop didn't also get any scratches by then but it was a sheer throw away of money for me. I have toned down , buys presently and the laptop I use presently is not also a laptop its a netbook or notebook whatever you may call it which doesnt have a CD Drive. No one plays games on laptops and video or photo editing if you do that sort of material for work then get a mac instead of a windows machine and if not then get a simple no bling netbook which will be lighter to carry and will cost extent less then the top of the range machines which will appear ancient in 2 years if more.
I employ my netbook every day and it has a big battery backup of 8+ hours and if I want to play a resource intensive game, I employ my desktop which has more than enough resources Laptops or netbooks are not meant for the heavy duty material... Give it a bit of thought and save some money. You wont feel bad after 2-3 years when you switch to a novel one because no one is going to purchase your old laptop after 2 years also if you purchase best of the best at present.

    brand doesn't actually matters more than the config u want to get . . . . . . . . . . . .

Only check at ur area about the brand which provides best service. . . Service standard varies differently at dissimilar places like at mine i acquired bad experiance on dell. . . . . .If u wish to use it for short period then go with some simple ones. . . . . . .

I estimate you are correct. I had to face the same trouble, my budget is around 27K-28K, and I am not surely gong to cross that amount range. I know that laptops are not actually for Gaming and editing, but I require a desktop replacement which will never come into my budget, but I am still appearing for th best purchase. Well, thanks for the advice, will put that in mind

I even as desktops, but it's not about liking or disliking. I so soon have a desktop, and I am actually happy with that, unluckily, I can't carry my desktop all over from asansol to kolkata. I transfered to a PG for my college and so I am appearing for the nearest possible desktop replacement around my budget.

Sorry, but at times brand does matter.
Now tell me, I am acquiring Samsung at 32K, with i5, 500GB HDD, 3GB RAM, 15.6" screen and they are affording a Mobile release on it.. WOW!!!! But dell is no doubt more stable than Samsung, no?
Well, you are again right, if Dell is nt providing pretty service close my area, it is a bad idea to buy it.

As there are 2 options in the poll, I'll option for Dell. Toshiba seems better in terms of the hardware technology. However, it is too pricey. If I could get same specs as Dell, the price changed very much! Therefore, I instead go for Dell.

On your last post, you are comparing with Samsung. hm.. personal sentiment, Samsung is nice in household electrical, famous in mobile recently (due to vast publicity) but I never heard of they are ok in laptop. I do not advocate Samsung for laptop.

Brand things usually still it bases our luck when purchase a laptop like pretty. I have to tell this like my friends bought Dell at varient time. A's laptop never had issue as the first day he bought; when B's laptop put making trouble as HDD failure and display blur later bought. Dell's QC trouble, we can't do anything. What we can do is file kick and claim a novel laptop when laptop breakdow

Yup, I directly accord on urs and pinky painter's sentiment about brand dependent under the term and condition luck. . . .and dude don't write sorry elsewhere in anythread about clashes of opinions cause forum is a place where we acquire different ideas, opinions and personal experiances. . . . Yaar
One more thing - what is creating u to stay just on these 2 brands? At present if u r thinking about samsung then look at this-acer aspire AS5742 26650 intel core i3 2.53 ghz, 3gb ram, 15.6-in, 500gb hdd(DVD-RW) and may be samsung is better experienced for electrical home gadgets than acer is known for laptops.
And I think this acer arrives under ur budget add u can dedicate 512 MB or 1 GB to graphics under ur pocket if u r a mid range gamer and dude do write in the thread the laptop u will purchase and good luck.

Now i'm sorry buddy RAM for acer is 2GB not 3 GB. . . . . .checked on acer website really i wrote about this acer laptop from chip(magazine aug2011) so instead going for dedicated graphics u should go for RAM upgrade . . . .both will exceed ur budget

I was fortunate enough to visually compare 3 displays side by side-a RGB LED,B+RG LED and WLED rearlit shows.difference is hardly noticeable to an untrained eye,but then i did my comparison under the supervision of a REAL geek with measuring instruments and all.
I was told that displays would acquire better but not in the close future, availability commercially was too far and my XPS 15 B+RG display was at-least half a decade proof.
As I watch and "re watch" TV series and movies,720 p when my bandwidth lets , I thought why compromise and I spent 15k more for the particular laptop which rather would have cost only 34-35k like config and guess what, even after 9-10 months of my particular model's launch,I have rarely heard of people buying it. Whenever I pass any dell showroom I create sure to ask the shop owners if they have the special model, they refuse which makes me actually happy. Even in a place like nehru place,it's not available. Therefore I have no regrets of owning a really pricy "display"laptop, am also designing to upgrade to a SSD when the price arrives down a bit.

RBG & B+RG shows are better than WLED screen still difference in cost in my opinion is only too much.unless absolutely necessary I would instead spend this additional money to purchase a 22" HD IPS monitor from dell. Also I think seeing anything equal to or more as compare to 720p requirements at least 22" display to appreciate. If you are going to watch at home then quality is not an issue for a separate large monitor & if you intend to watch on the proceed then it doesn't matter anyway because of varient distractions to have a RGB display.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
