    Default Best Laptop for gaming

Heyllo..I'm novel here. Only appearing for thoughts on the best laptops for gaming. I'm more into the "adventure" type games..such as Myst and Riven.

I'm in the USA. I was seeming to spend around $2000 but don't be afraid to go good underneath that or over that for what I require. I expect something that won't be out of date in some years. I may end up playing other types of games in the future. I would enjoy a decent sized monitor or display. The best or almost the best picture quality possible.

I hint "top of the line" for what I'm actually appearing to apply it for...but something that can be applied for other games if I acquire into them(the racing games..sims...shoot 'em to death...etc) ..and again, something that won't be constipated some years from now.

I was appearing at the Alienware M17x and the Toshiba Qosmio so far. I'm presuming the M17x is a bit better...? Any suggestions on what to acquire in the M17x, for example..to live up to my criteria referred over?

First off, and sorry if it's something you've already viewed, but are you certain you expect a gaming laptop?

For that budget, you could purchase a decent non-gaming laptop, and have alter for a desktop that would be more graphically powerful as compared to a $2000 dollar laptop and cheaper to upgrade in the future also.

I m not into Laptops but what I detect rather uneven... Its your Budget for a gaming Laptop of $2000..For Future Proofing etc.... But the two games you have referred is thus old just about any Laptop should play it without troubles.. I could by a advanced day Basic Laptop for 300 (UK) which should manage both of those games without an issue.. If you are going to expenditure $2000 only to play these 2 games then you are going to blow your money..

Thanks for the replies. The reason for the laptop is just to be able to take it anywhere and play games or do whatever on it. Rather than being stuck in one room sitting by a desk everything the time. Can even lay down in bed and play..etc.

The games I referred were only examples..I realize they're old. I haven't gotten myself up to date yet on the latest games these days. I have more time these days to play about..thus I'm acquiring rear into it.

There is no such thing as a laptop that is not gonna be out of date in some years. Not for around 2000 dollars anyway. You can acquire something that will handle while... as the one I have. I purchased it a year ago, and it is already displaying its age but it handles to play everything on medium.. Note that the display is 1920x1080 so it does need quite a lot of power.

17" gaming "laptops" tend to be called Desktop Replacements because they are not fit-able for gaming out and about. Both for battery life and bulk. Worth holding in mind when you are shopping.

    So...any suggestions???????

If you read what I said about the $2000..I stated that I'd be willing to pay rather a bit more if I have to. Battery life..if I'm away from a plug for any length of time an additional battery(or 2) may be worth it. Not worried about it being bulky...too small would be a trouble for me though . Using it in bed...you can however put it on a flat surface or if sitting up- one of those in-bed tables if you didn't expect to put it on your lap

Thanks..will appear into those. I was only at Alienware's website..the M17x R3 is no longer available. Chatted with someone there and she said it may be because of parts that require to arrive in or be modified. Hmmmm.....

Firstly, holy thread necro batman. Secondly, you do realize that the vast majority of Toshiba laptops don't also have discrete graphics? You can't only recommend a complet brand as that...

Thus your budget is $2000 and expect to purchase a laptop!!!!!!!!!!
Are you crazy!!!!!!!!! You can acquire an ass-striking gaming desktop at that cost with nvidia 3d. A vast big monitor and well keyboard and mouse for comfort ability. You can even acquire a good 7.1 speakers also!

You expect to carry your gaming laptop as you say it over then tell me that will you play your games at a small display and with worse sound quality huh! In my thoughts purchase a enough gaming desktop and then purchase a good laptop if you expect to carry it..............laptops are good but not for gaming!!!!!
