I perfectly hate glossy displays. You require a relatively dark environment to apply it or else the gloss will reflect the light. A actual pain in the when you have a window or light source behind you though working.
Mac-book Air 11 inch , Mac-book Pro , Samsung Galaxy S2, Sennheiser Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Ear-sonic SM 3 , iPod touch 3rd gen 64 GB, etc......
The Both(gloss and matte) are similar cost gloss are brighter and have better screen, matte are finger print proof as well as good for outside considering.
Most people as gloss. I as well, but owning one produces you feel, when at some point of time, reflectiveness is also much. You really have to adjust your eye-view to have a proper perspective of display which is at times extreme irritating. But I am still to watch any matte display.
Most brands Business line up offer Matte screen. Except one thing I do not understand is True bit technology, supported by Toshiba, which they is a fusion of both..@!! But one thing for sure, glossy only attracts, but not productive.
