Default Laptop becomes sulky and creates beep sounds

I own a Dell M5010, with an AMD Phenom2 P920 quad core CPU. The laptop becomes extreme sluggish like inwhen I am typing something , the key presses are thus delayed thatthe laptop appears to type by itself.

This occurs mostly later playing avideo game for about 2-15 minutes and ,though in game, if I press 2-4keys simultaneously, the laptop does not novel commands (keyspressed) and makes beeping sounds till yet the 2-4 keys pressed areexecuted. Trouble seems also without playing games and it fixesitself for few time later rebooting OR logging off.

I am thinking it is caused by theCPU not being able to do more as compared to 1 action at a timebecause if I type a few words, I cannot alt tab, minimize or doanything else till yet it ends typing. As well, the beeping soundis coming out from the speakers. What could be the trouble?

Hello , You should have no trouble multitasking on a Quad-core. Have you been remarking any other matters? It sounds as you may have a memory leak. When the system becomes sluggish, open the resource monitor and select the memory tab. There is a graphical screen of how much memory is being applied and how much is free.

To begin the resource monitor, click the start/windows button and type "resmon" in the search box then press enter. Joined is a pic of the physical memory box below the memory tab. There should be enough of free/standby memory. What is yours as when the system is sluggish?

This is how it feels as. It is applied a small more sometimes and but it is freed quickly. The screen shot is brought at about 10 minutes later a reboot, on only the browser and a complete diagnostics running since rebooting.

Yes, it was. I am presently attempting to end processes one by one and watch if it caused by software. To be referred, I have altered 3 HDDs too far and the matter occurred on each of them and I each time I had mostly the same software installed . As well, the present HDD is healthy.

If it is a software / driver problem then having the same software installed could easily create the same issue. Do you have a spare, healthy, HDD handy?

I do but, unluckily, the HDD is located below the touch pad and altering the HDD implies bringing all apart; I do not have time for that at the moment. Could the matter be caused by a software that records key presses? Something similar to a key logger; as, if the program can not hold up on the speed and amount of keys pressed, does this sound as it could cause the entire system to become slow?

I am certain it could, particularly if the code is poorly written. I would wish you do not have a key logger with your laptop... Do you have any programs that affect key functionality? Does this trouble only affect the keystrokes, or does it affect other things like considerable?

It begins from keystrokes and then it spreads to multitasking when keys are pressed. I do have a key logger but it is running with aim, for personal usage. I have stopped the software and the trouble appears to have gone away; this explains why a log off would temporarily solve the trouble - the software was being re-began.
