Thread: Troubles on Cyberlink Powerdirector 7

Please help me, I have an enormouslybothering trouble with the software "Power Director 7",everything else works alright but when I edit clips and want tomodify the speed of a clip to slow motion / faster it allows me do itbut when I have finished editing and save my project it does notremain slow/fast for next time!

For instance, i have justfinished editing a clip that is 3 minutes long and have created it 6minutes long on slow motion applying the "speed" control,it works alright and I save my project. I arrive rear later aalthough and open my project and I detected the clip I edited to slowmotion is however 6 minutes long but its not slow motion! It plays inat normal speed until the last bit of the clip is only black becauseit was supposed to be slow motion and if it was the complete 6minutes of the clip would have been applied. Therefore basically thespeed modifies I do to clips do not remain modified later I save andopen my project again! What should i do, i would really appreciatehelp !!!

I purchased the PD7-Ultra upgrade cause I the express version arrived on my jvd camcorder. I am editing/making my wedding video and in addition to it not saving the speed, it even randomly does not save trimming I have done. Few clips save fine and others do not when I reopen my project. It is truly odd.

Even, later setting the speed on multiple video clips, sometimes it will loose the music track. The music track is there and the volume level of the music track is high, but when playing the movie no sound is heard. Merely if I exit PowerDirector and come back in it is alright - but then I lost all the speed.

I am actually pissed cause I have spent as 8 hours editing just to detect it that it did not save the speed. This sucks because all is related to the speed of the video. How in the world this acquired out of beta is beyond me!

Have you asked cyberlink for an answer? I wish you acquired a better answer as compared to the one they gave me. They told me that they could not assist with my trouble, V6, will not save. The just advice afforded was to upgrade to V7. Which I have only done, still had I done my research first, I would have dumped this program. Acquire your act together cyberlink and look after your customers.

I have a deadline in 4 days, and have the same trouble. Saved an awesome video, on trims and slowdowns, but when I acquired rear to it, the speed settings were gone, and the end of the video substituted on blank spaces. Even bad is the fact that if you attempt split a video, it will do it, but later you save and restart, the video plays from the beginning twice!

Anybody detected a way to get that to work? Only a thought, I am applying Vista 64bit. What OS are you other chaps with problems using?

I have only began applying cyberlink powerdirector 7 ultra and I need to make the clone effect/ duplicate effect.. but the problem is that i don't have the required mask for the PiP video that is half display mask in the modify PiP clip alternative... Please help.

Only began applying Power Director 7. I am holding troubles however with images and the magic motion feature. When you add motion to a even picture it is cutting off half the picture. For example if the subject is a person, the motion zooms in thus half the person is cut off...then it moves in the motion you select. How can you add motion, but use the entire image?? Any thoughts??

Here is something you can do about the trouble. This is what I do and it works. All time I create a video with time effects, I create one part and without saving it, I produce a short chapter right away. I save it on a desktop and start a new project. In a novel project I insert the saved part in the video edit mode. It is so difficult to explain sometimes, but I wish I helped a bit...

The difference between the pd7 pro and pd7 ultra? As far as I can tell the difference is only in two items. First. You can not play a Blu ray within the pd7 pro program which is form of lame viewing the fact that you can however author a Blu ray disk. Second I think there are fewer templates or something!
Which when you think about it, why not merely go to the cyberlink website that offers free templates.

In addition to my burner came with a bundle and within was a fully operational blu ray player, thus I setup my pd7 pro minus the player that was included and then setup merely the completely functional player from my burner's bundle and it showed up in my new pd7 pro menu. I only could take myself to pay 80 plus us extra only for a blu ray player that should have been let in anyway. thus does anybody know of any other differences..?

Is anybody else experiencing the trouble I am? I added and edited just 40 seconds of video and now later clicking on the trim green arrow for additional videos, the preview display will turn all green. Therefore I have 40 seconds of excellent footage and now I can not add anything unless I need people to watch nothing but a stupid green display.

Getting help from cyberlink is even impossible. I spent money on this program and they can not also afford me an answer over the phone without me having to pay MORE money? They also have not answered any of my emails. This is a joke and I want to return it, but don't know who to even talk to to do so.
