Thread: Windows Vista Laptop Freezes

Hi guys I am attempting to classifythis laptop, Windows Vista. It was logging into Windows in normalmode and then freezing later every the desktop matter had appearedwith display. It applied to boot into safe mode but this has evenstopped now like it hangs after listing a bunch of drivers that it isloading. I would hate to think that the merely repair alternative isto restore it to factory defaults but I'm fast running out of ideas.As well chkdsk /r merely hangs.

Sounds as what I was imagining. Eldritch how safe mode worked earlier chkdsk did it is thing. Therefore the plan is to pull out the drive, mount it to some other machine to rip out the content required and then restoring the drive to its factory setting, which will likely keep it going a while longer.

As well although you have it in another machine you could do a double test with that HDD..

What would you urge I test for? Run chkdsk again or attempt something else? When it began , it looked as a simple Windows trouble but acquired progressively worse. I have read all kinds of matter about it being a log file matter and begin up process trouble.

If it suspends on chkdsk /r then I will guarantee that the drive is with its way out Draven. Attempt keeping it in the other machine and tell us if the bios watches it.
