Default The Running Windows on a Mac Virtualization Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop

The announcement of Apple's transition to Intel processors in June has allowed Macs to run Windows natively. Apple Boot Camp Beta announced on April, and the final version is in Apple's latest operating system, Apple Mac OS X Leopard, released on October. Meanwhile, two third-party developers have released applications that allow Mac users to run Windows virtually. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, and this thread detailing what each method, its advantages and disadvantages, why one should choose one over the other and little notes of interest.

Good things! These should include a lot of questions for future Apple Mac OS X switches.

Nice. How about a more thorough comparison of Parallels and VMWare Fusion too once they become official?

Thank you very much for the well written article. Save a lot of trouble to reply to all "Boot Camp vs. XXXX" issues that seem to pop up every 10 sec.

Agreed. Same with the other item on the Elimination of Apple Mac OSX and Apple Mac play critical files, such as the user folder and the iPhoto library. (Not crucial, but the change can cause headaches)

2 weeks ago I needed this ... At the moment I am mainly using boot camp to boot into Vista for work.

I boot OSX to play (internet browsing, instant messaging). But very rarely.

Now, please make sure that we will keep the posts subject. Posts on the subject is not removed and ABSOLUTELY NO WINDOWS VS OS X. This message is to help people run Windows on a Apple Mac regardless of their reasoning.
