Default What Is The Value Of This Laptop?

Hi, I'm about to buy a renovated laptop from my local PC store.
    - Packard Bell:
    LCD: 17" Widescreen
    CPU: Athlon 64 X2 1.9 GHz
    RAM: 3GB DDR2
    HDD: 320GB Sata
    GPU: Nvidia 7000M
    IOS: Vista Home Premium
    WiFi: Yes, inbuilt.
    Camera: Yes, inbuilt.
    Drive: DVD Rewriter
Can you please immediately inform me the worth of this laptop, exposed in mind, it is used/renovated? I checked it out and similar to it, please provide me an extract. (Any exchange would do, I can change it to GBP)

    Thank you!

    Display resolution?

    I'd say it’s around $600.

    17" is not a declaration. A 17" display at 1440x900 is a world left from a 17" screen at 1920x1200.

The CPU is fine for everyday use, but I never do anything concentrated on it.

Hi, the only feature I obtained on it was that it was 17" widescreen. Nothing moreover.

By "wouldn't do anything exhaustive" would did you mean by that? Photoshop? Basic Movie restriction? Light gaming? (C: SS) etc?

It might do photoshop and light movie restriction okay (though slow). The GPU is probably too weak for CS: S, though it could be able to play it on every, very low.

Is it not a 1.9 Dual Core although? I recognize the GPU is a slight feeble.

Can I ask a wonderful quick question, what is the Intel Core 2 Duo equivalent to an Athlon X2 1.9 Dual Core? Please give respond ASAP...

    Thank You!

The Athon X2's are more control famished (lower battery life) and less capable (lower presentation per clock) than the core 2 duos. You could possibly get similar presentation out of a 1.7-1.6GHz dual core chip from Intel.

If mobility is what you prefer? Don’t go for it because with 17" display and Nvidia GPU the Athlon processor will certainly make the bat give way . If u going to sit with the adapter stopped in I don think it would matter .You can get it around $700 provided bat not too old . If it is ? Ask for a few bucks slighter.
