It's not an IP case; I can knock theDTV box from my laptop. It is with the similar sub net in a block Ihave adjust apart for static IP. (DHCP starts at .100) The DTV boxlinks to the router (WRT54G) and can acquire to the Internet as wellas the local network. I have everything of the categories in thecomplete house adjust to let. I do not have a "push the red button" rectification for you but I would wager that your extremely first statement is untrue. I have about everything the gadgets associated to DirecTV that are usable and for the most part networking this stuff is a three minute job.

Stop! You are keeping words in my mouth. If you are converted that your network is configured rightly then by everything means hold it like is. My point was that the DHCP system has always been pretty considerably problem free for me thus I apply it thus removing the possibility of error in a manually configured system.

I have precisely the same trouble. Application of iPad will not link to the HR24. Not a sub net issue as in can knock the receiver from the iPad. Network scanning tools with the iPad display the receiver I can even scan for open ports with the receiver, but the application will not link no issue what I attempt.

I have watched various posts with this matter. I am in the same boat. Both iPad and DVR are showing successful links to Internet. Application iPad watches the DVR but will not validate and enable. I am starting to surprize about the usefulness of this application.

I have a identical trouble exclude the weird thing is that the application can link to my other receiver with the bedroom but not the main DVR. The complete house thing however works and I can access TV applications and such with the DVR. Something else I remark is that the receiver tells its linked to the Internet and acquires an IP address but when I attempt to begin network services it fails.
