Thread: List of bugs I have detected

Hi there. I am novel to the forumshere. I remember playing when I was about 8 years old. I did notactually have the mental capacity for the more intricate puzzles, buttoday, appearing rear, I actually did acquire rather far like an 8year old. Anyway,like to the bugs I have detected.

1) Also if you have notreturned a single page to either the red or blue book, when youlocate the 'final' page into a book, it counts like while everythingof the pages were returned. It loads the cut scene and the game ends.

2) There are few lag matters in Denis with Atrus. I seem thegame freeze and load again later 10 or too seconds sometimes.

3)There are even 2 orientation glitches in the Maze. One has beenreferred with the forums in detail. The one where you acquire trappedand can not escape. The other one I have detected does not cause youto be trapped but you however cannot rear track. I have consisted apicture of the maze bug positions.

That is everything I have detected.It is an wondering game. And I must tell that I am proud to tell Ihave finished it without walk through. What an surprising experience.

I am actually interested in this Myst Online. I missed theboat it appears, but I would LOVE to watch it arrived rear. Itsounds surprising, I actually wish it eventuates.

I think you are the 1st one to discover bug. Denis is the correct spelling. There are a few instability troubles in Veering that are fixed in the next update... Not certain if your bug is among the fixes, I hope thus! Welcome to the forums and hopefully Online will soon be available again!

Hi , welcome to the forums! The maze troubles are indeed in the update, which should be out any minute now. . . crosses fingers that Apple gets that done ASAP. I think the "lag issues" you are mentioning to sound as a known issue which has to do with Quicktime, that happens with the movies. A bit of trivia I just recently learned. . . Denis is the correct spelling now, however in the original Myst - it was actually Denny!

This is not a bug and this plays perfectly as it does in the original (on the Mac and PC). I do not remember the reasoning, something RAWA could enlighten you on.

In regards to the first bug that I referred, I look that despite it being as that in the original PC version, it is however a bug. It does not produce sense for either brother to be purchased out of the book with a single page. It goes versus the complete concept of missing pages immuring you. I knew that I had at least two of Sirus' pages to return, thus I expected to hear his spell and con act.

Therefore I returned his page from behind the mantle and the game finished. I was disappointed, because it forced me into losing, when my plan was to open the green book. Well I only went in the game and examined this out and you are right! I will allow Chogon experience this and like verified . Like I had said in my last spoiler, if it was the white page you returned first it was normal to acquire the finishing also tho no other pages were keep in but I do not think it is with the blue and red pages, but I may be wrong. If Chogon says me otherwise I will post here or perhaps he will. Thanks.

Yes, we intentionally produced it thus that returning the red or blue page from the fireplace automatically ended the Book.

The reasoning in 1993 was that hints were tough to arrive by as compared to they are today, and if you were capable to acquire those red or blue pages, it was very likely that you would already completed the game the right way at least once and were only expecting to watch the endings again.

We were attempting to be nice, only like you can go straight to the fireplace later beginning a game and acquire the "good" ending if you already experience the fireplace code. We could have produced it thus that also the "correct" fireplace code did not work till yet you would brought the pages rear of at least one color, but we do not enjoy when other games do that, thus we did not.
