I had a RAZR V3xx and it had excellentsupport for java games. You could go online and download an game andit would work excellent. I have had various non-smart phones sinceand they are not compatible on anything unless you acquire it fromthe service provider.

As we want a CPU and more to be able to run a Java interpreter and handle a file system that lets you to install applications, you have crossed the line to smart phones in one step. How else would you run code without a smarter phone?

What I think your actual question is what phones let downloads you might be asking for phones that have downloads but ignore the current scourge of every charges called "the data plan." But then I would be guessing that was the actual question.

You explained it exactly phones that have downloads but avoid the current scourge of all charges called "the data plan' that is what I intended perfectly. I liked how the RAZR v3xx was compatible on fairly much any .jar file and nothing else has been as that as but I guess like smart phones are so accessible now its fairly much a mute point!
