While Nvidia has formalized its new dedicated graphics card Geforce GTX 560M (see article ), Toshiba announced at Computex 2011 its new Qosmio X770 laptop equipped with this GPU DirectX 11 and which can be written in a 3D version. Under Intel platform Huron River, it has a processor Sandy Bridge, Optimus technology and various options such as a Full HD panel, Blu-ray unit or a hard disk Swift. USB 3.0 is also the game.

It features an original design while incorporating the colors red and black normally used in the Qosmio series. We find a textured black jack at the shell but also inside except the keyboard of course. Red peaks are present, particularly in the middle of the cover with the Qosmio logo but at the hinge, with an extension above the keyboard and bottom of the hull. Toshiba calls this design Urban Metallic Black with red gradation.

Technology Sleep'n'Charge can charge a small device while the notebook is off or in standby while using Sleep'n'Music, it is possible to broadcast sound from the speakers of the PC from a small device (eg MP3 player) plugged into the microphone, and this again even if the PC is in standby or off.

One regret from this laptop on the slab. It seems that only the Qosmio X770 3D versions enjoy a Full HD panel, the Qosmio X770 to settle for a standard resolution of 1600 × 900. Suddenly, the presence of Blu-Ray on the Qosmio X770 is less attractive if the notebook is not entitled to a Full HD screen.
