Toshiba launches new ultraportable 13.3-inch Intel platform in HuronRiver, the Portégé R830-1DR. High-end model offers a self-announced8:30, a panel mate, an SSD of 256 GB, a Core i7 Sandy Bridge andconnectivity including 3G + module, USB 3.0, HDMI and e-SATA, all inone frame less than 1.5 Kg DVD included.

It specifically targets professionalswith its operating system Windows 7 Professional. In addition tofeatures found in the Home Premium, it includes tools more advancedsecurity and network management as well as the XP mode in order toinstall and use software / drivers only compatible with Windows XP.
