In your opinion, what is the best brand of laptop as far as reliability, speed, price, and hardware go? Acer, Dell, Compaq/HP, or Toshiba?I only want to know your opinion out of those FOUR brands. Please no "None of them." answers.

Sony.
best value is dellbest build quality is HP (but sony have better)cheapest is acer (low price, but not the best value, cheap because of old and bad parts)worst value is sony (i know you didn't say it, but the guy above said it)dunno about toshibabut if you'll consider it, ASUS are far better than any of those brands, currently they have the best gaming laptop out on the market. the ASUS G1.and have some excellent ultralites
Dell the best of the best.
hp.
Judging by the service and reliability surveys in PC Magazine and PC World, those four brands all rank very closely in reliability. For price/performance and hardware, they tend to use similar configurations, though Dell does have one model, the XPS 1730, that provides an SLi option, giving it greater performance as a gaming laptop. Dell and HP both also offer workstation laptops with graphics cards optimized for graphics applications rather than gaming.
personally i'd go with the HP, they tend 2 b a bit more reliable in my opinion, while they may not b the cheapest. they have great speed ect..try looking at the HP tx 1420 notebook tablet. i think they're about $1100of corse it also depends on what u need the computer 2 b able 2 do so this may not fit your criteria
this question gets asked a lot.since no laptop manufacture makes any of the components inside i'd say their all about equal.if one offers a longer warranty then that would be an advantage.
