The concept of 30 weapon based fights brought about a nice twist in the genre's tale but only after the arcade version of Soul Caliber got re¬engineered specially for a Oreamcast release. Almost every aspect of the original was redone, in the form of a new visual and animation system and a fantastic physics engine to boot. Till date, SC is looked at as one of the greatest fighting game ports, not only because of the overwhelming amount of content it offered but also due to the way it pioneered concept and opened flood gates for further improvement.
